Help! I Am Drowning In A House of Adult Children

Dear Parent,

I am going down for the third time.  I have four, count em, four attachment challenged young adult children swarming my house and I am slowly taking on water.  I find I cannot write much because I am circling the drain, swimming as fast as I can, and losing the fight.

Someone throw me a line.  It’s 8:10pm and I am still at the office.  Can anyone say avoidant?  Well, I can, and I am.  I might just stay the night.  I have plenty of paperwork that will appreciate getting finished if I do.

Love matters,

Ce Eshelman, LMFT

Guess what?  My book arrived yesterday.  Woo hoo, it’s fat.  No really, it is thicker than I imagined.  That’s all I can muster to say about it.  I hope you all are coming to the Book Launch to celebrate.  You probably aren’t, but I know you will be here in spirit.  You can buy a copy on Amazon.com or my website. If you buy it on Amazon, leave a review (only if you like it…hee, hee, hee).

The next 8 hr. Trust Based Parent Training is scheduled for April 23rd and 30th from 12noon to 4pm.  $200 per couple.  Childcare available for $30 each day, second child $10 additional. To sign up email Jen@attachplace.com and she will register you.

Monthly Adoptive Parent Support Group is every second Wednesday of the month from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  Group and childcare are free.
The public is invited to celebrate Ce Eshelman, LMFT’s new book, Drowning with My Hair on Fire: Insanity Relief for Adoptive Parents at an open house with brunch bites and bubbly on April 16th, 2016, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.  RSVP here.  Probably not the best event for children though.
